In sub-Saharan Africa, approximately 80% of breast cancer cases are detected at advanced stages (III or IV), unlike in high-income countries where early detection rates are much higher.

By creating awareness and empowering individuals, Timermer aims to increase early detection rates, ultimately reducing the number of deaths caused by late-stage diagnoses.
